Coco is a native Michigander and the founder and director of Bocca Musica™. Coco began singing almost before she could speak and began playing guitar and flute at the age of ten.  Coco earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Eastern Michigan University, a history degree from Saginaw Valley State University, and a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.  While at Eastern, Coco was lucky enough to perform with the EMU Madrigal Singers under the direction of Professor Emily Lowe. During Coco's four years with the group they toured and performed throughout the United States and studied and performed in the British Isles.

Since graduating from Eastern, Coco has taught vocal and instrumental music K-12 and is currently teaching at the middle school level. In addition to Bocca Musica, Coco also founded and directed Impromp2, a Gospel Octet, and co-founded The Bawdy Bohemians, a two woman act which briefly toured faires and festivals on a national level.

Over the years Coco has had the pleasure of performing with many wonderful groups.  Some highlights include Our Lady’s Madrigal Singers (now Arbor Consort) the Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble, Spiral Danse, and The Emily Lowe Singers and The Cantata Academy Chorale, a Detroit based professional choir. Coco was fortunate enough to be the featured soprano soloist for the group in Venice, Italy performing Vivaldi's Gloria and performing Schubert’s Missa in G at an international choral festival in Zadar, Croatia.  Coco has also performed with Cantata Academy in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, The Czech Republic and San Moreno.

On the theatrical side, Coco has been involved with The ABA Theatre and several community theatre groups. She has been both an actress and musical director on such productions as Guys & Dolls, Fame, Cinderella, and La Belle Soeur.

Coco is honored to have worked with so many talented musicians, actors, and artists both locally and internationally through the years.
