PLAY
THE BOCCA DRINKING GAME!
Posted Friday, May 9, 2008 by
Coco Hey Bocca Fans,
Thanks to our friend
Mitch,
we now have the
Bocca
Drinking Game!
|
Please
keep in mind, this game is
designed to be played while
watching our DVD Beaver
Crossing, but it is also
usable when watching the show in
person. In this case, replace
all mention of shots with 3
sips.
What? You don't have
the DVD, email
Boccagoddess@aol.com
to buy your copy today!
THE RULES:
Every time
one of the following happens, do
as you're told.
Kevin acts
gay = Take a sip (start drinking
now)
You fail
to do the motions for the names
= That's a shot
Costume
change = Sip
Real Ad-lib breaks
another performer = That's two
sips.
Kevin
slams Coco = one drink
Coco slams
Kevin = 1 drink
Kevin
slams Randy = 2 drinks
A TOAST =
one drink
A JOKE =
one drink
Beth
actually manages a slam on
someone = A sip
Mention is
made about the size of someone's
breasts or genitalia = Shot
(WARNING! Unless you are a
serious drinker, this one is
ONLY to be used for speaking
parts. DO NOT attempt to make
use of this rule during the
Penis Song or I Will
Survive. You probably
won't, survive.)
Randy
Overacts = Shot.
Whenever
Coco responds to an insult by
referring to the fact that she's
the boss, or threatening the pay
check of the insulter = Finish
your drink!
And that,
friends and foes, will get you
shit faced with Bocca. |

On a personal note, we need to send a huge THANK YOU

AMAZING! Kevin raised $1408 in the Mr. Ren Fest 2007
competition. Although he was defeated by a last minute rally
from Hob the Troll, Kevin will be donating the entire sum to the
Rennie R.E.S.C.U. Foundation! Oh yeah, and because Kevin came
so close to winning, he has agreed to let Coco shave a smiley face
into his back hair anyway! If you want to see the action
unfold, the shaving will take place this Saturday at the Michigan
Renaissance Festival before our 4:00 show at the Mother Oak Stage.
Get there early to get a seat!
In other Bocca news, if you
would like to vote in the 3rd Annual Renaissance Festival Awards, go
to
http://renfestmusic.4celts.com/awards/ . Make sure to list
Bocca as your favorite musical act.....if you like us, that is!!!
Remember, this is the last weekend of the Michigan
Renaissance Festival, so come out and laugh and drink with Bocca for
one final weekend. We're almost sold out of our CD "Fa La
This" and there won't be any more after they're gone. Get your copy
this weekend or go to our Shop Bocca Page to find out how to order
your copy today.
We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
The weather will be perfect and we'll be pulling out all the stops
to make you laugh!

Woot! Woot!
The weather was perfect for a great time at the
festival. We laughed, we drank, we laughed and drank! Who
could ask for anything more?.........um, Kevin, of course! Don't
forget to give Kevin some money to help him win Mr. Ren Fest 2007.
All money will go to the Rennie R.E.S.C.U. Foundation. Read last
weeks posting for more details.
I need to send a special shout out to our friend Doug for donating
his book of limericks to the group! What a guy...and he's got
beautiful eyes to boot! Thank you so much, I've been reading,
laughing and planning my attack on the rest of the group for next
weekend!
Remember, there are only 2 weekends left to see Bocca at the Michigan
Renaissance Festival. :( Don't despair, however, we've got
some events in the works that might bring you Bocca all year. Stay
tuned for future updates or sign the guest book to be added to our
mailing list.
Cheers!
HELP US
RAISE MONEY!

Coco
Hey Bocca Fans,
We had another wild and crazy weekend at the
Michigan Renaissance Festival. If you're planning to come to one
of our shows, get there early 'cause the seats are filling up fast.
Don't forget, we're also phasing out our CD "Fa La This" so get your
copy while they last!
Bocca has a fundraiser we need your help with. Our very own
Kevin the Randy is in the Mr. Ren Fest 2007 Pageant to raise money for
Rennie R.E.S.C.U. You can check out their link on our links page
to see what they're all about. Anyway, in order for Kevin to win,
he has to raise more money than the other contestants. 100% of the
money raised will go directly to Rennie R.E.S.C.U. If Kevin wins,
Coco gets to shave a smiley face into his back hair......GROSS!
But wouldn't you love to make fun of Kevin's Man-O-Lantern?
YES!!!! Of course, we don't need another reason to make fun
of Kevin, but it's for a great cause.
If you would like to donate, please see Kevin or any other Bocca
member over the next two weekends at the MI Ren Fest or go directly to
the R.E.S.C.U. website. We will post pictures of the pageant and of
course, pics of Kevin being shaved if he wins!
We hope you will donate generously!!

were all completely exhausted after performing for three days, but your
energy and enthusiasm for our shows kept us going.
We had fun checking out some of the other shows at the festival for a
change. Make sure to check out Shae Laurel Family Band at the Tree Top

this weekend.
Come and see "30 Plays in 60 Minutes" on Friday or
Saturday night at East Detroit High School starting at 7:00 p.m.
This is
no ordinary show. This is an audience participation show that's fun for the
whole family. It starts by rolling dice at the door to see how much you pay to
get in. The price will be between $3 and $5 and if the show goes longer than 60
minutes, you get $1 back when you leave!!
Rumor has it that Coco will be
there on Saturday night and Randy will of course be there both nights.
Come out and support the arts and public education!

Greetings Bocca Fans, Thank you so much for making Bocca Day a huge success.
We had great crowds at all our shows and we saw a lot of friends and fans from
over the years. We met a lot of new people, too, which always makes us feel
good.
We taped all the shows and will now begin the difficult process of
video editing to make our new DVD. We're still looking for a title so be sure
and send any ideas to boccagoddess@aol.com.
Congratulations to Stephen
Wentworth on being named the Bocca Fan of the Year. Out of all the entries we
received, his was the most compelling. We do, however, need to recognize several
entries that didn't win because we decided they were better friends than fans.
Thanks to Bill and Sandi, Rose and Robert and Pam and Phil. We're thrilled that
you joined us for the weekend. Thanks for being so wonderful.
We also
need to recognize our Bocca Bitches, Chip and Jeff, for all their wonderful help
over the past several years. Thanks guys for selling all our crap and for being
great friends. You're the BEST!
Only two weekends left, so don't miss out
on a great time with Bocca at the Michigan Renaissance Festial. We hope to see
you there.

follow!
We're looking forward to many more weekends laughing with our

Farewell Silver Leaf
Posted Monday, August 7, 2006 by
Coco Dear Bocca Fans,
The Silver Leaf
Renaissance Faire has come to a close once again. We are saddened to see it end
but look forward to upcoming festivals and events.
We would like to thank
the management of Silver Leaf for a wonderful experience. The new sight is
outstanding and we hear it's only going to get bigger and better. It was also
great to make new friends and share the stage with great musicians such as Three
Pints Gone and Gallamor the Bard.
On a personal note, we would especially
like to thank Seth the Friendly Cop for giving us so much material to work with.
Seth, stop, drop and roll 'cause you've been burned!!!! Of course we're looking
forward to seeing Seth and his lovely cop wife Wendy when they visit us for
Bocca Day at the Michigan Renaissance Festival! Huzzah and well met!
Thanks again to all our amazing fans for coming out and laughing with us.....we
could feel the love....L-U-S-T........love! We look forward to seeing you all
again in the future.
Cheers from Bocca Musica
Damn it was hot! Posted
Monday, July 31, 2006 by
Coco Greetings Bocca Fans,
Despite the heat,
Bocca had another great weekend at the Silver Leaf Ren Faire. We were amazed
that so many patrons dressed up in such hot weather. We were particularly
impressed by the gentlemen wearing the bear fur outfit.....well done, sir! I
think because fur is a natural fiber, it must breathe well and keep one cooler
in such humid climates!
On a sad note, we were sorry to say goodbye to
our new friends, Three Pints Gone. They will be missed on the final weekend of
the faire, but we wish them well as they head on to their next venue.
It was also great to see Tartanic again. We had a fabulous time at the Arcadia
Brewery on Friday night listening to the pipes and drums. We also didn’t mind
sharing the beer tent with them when their show got rained out Sunday afternoon.
Not to worry, the clouds went away and the rest of the day was fantastic. The
die hard rennie fans always stay through the rain to play!!
Just one
weekend left, don’t miss out. Bocca will be performing in the beer tent at
12:30, 2:00 and 3:45. Join us for some good times and remember, we like
cider!!!!! Oh, and thanks to Seth, the friendly cop for once again taking care
of us and making us cooler…….word up!
Cheers, Bocca Musica
Wasn't That A Party
Posted Tuesday, July 25, 2006 by
Coco Hey Bocca Fans,
The 3rd weekend of
Silver Leaf was fantastic. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us perform.
Our audiences keep getting bawdier and crazier, which we love, since they come
and tell us great jokes after the show. Come back and see us to find out if
we're using your joke.
The party Saturday night in the beer tent was
outstanding. So many people were buying us drinks we just had to sing a few
songs to repay the favor. "Big Bosom Girls" is the song everyone wanted to hear
so we ended up singing it a couple of times. The nice thing about singing to a
tent full of drunk faire workers is that no one noticed or cared! Thanks Seth
for getting everyone home safely!
Only two weekends left of Silver Leaf
Ren Faire. Don't miss out. Bocca will be performing three shows a day at 12:30,
2:00 and 3:45. We hope you can join us for a pint and a lot of fun.
Cheers, Bocca Musica

TPG commented on how "hot" our fans our and I don't mean from the heat!! Thanks

much fun as we did!

In Loving Memory Posted

Coco Our hearts and prayers go out to Robin (newest
Bocca member) and his family. Robin's father passed away yesterday morning after
battling cancer.
Robin's dedication to his family combined with his
commitment to Bocca has been a wonderful example to all of us. We are fortunate
to have him as a friend and part of the Bocca family.
Silver Leaf Opening Weekend
Posted Monday, July 10, 2006 by
Coco Greetings Bocca Fans,
The opening
weekend of Silver Leaf at it's new location in Battle Creek was a success! It's
obvious that a lot of people put in a lot of hours to make the site beautiful
and I'm sure it will get better and better every year. Thanks Katie and Steve.
It was really exciting for us to walk in Saturday morning and be greeted by so
many people yelling out our name and saying welcome back. We truly felt like
celebrities. We were even more thrilled when we went to see "Pirates" Saturday
night and a man waiting in line made a point to come up and tell us how great he
thought the show was earlier that day. Wow, it's almost like being a rock
star!!! Well.......maybe I'm getting a little carried away, but it was cool
nonetheless!
If you didn't make it out to see us, we'll be at Silver Leaf
for 4 more weekends. Bocca will be in the pub tent for 3 shows a day. Come by
and see us at 12:30, 2:00 and 3:45. We'll be sharing the stage this weekend with
the group Three Pints Gone and we can't wait to meet them and hear more great
music!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and shared some wonderfully
naughty, silly moments with us this past weekend. As always, our fans are the
BEST!
Hope to see you at the faire. Cheers from Bocca Musica!

Sad News Posted Tuesday,
June 6, 2006 by
Coco Dear Bocca Fans,
It is with a sad heart that I inform
you of the passing of a Bocca Fan who became a friend. Rhett Butler, his real
name, passed away on May 31, 2006. For those of you who didn't know him, we met
Rhett at the Michigan Renaissance Festival and quickly discovered his kindness,
generosity and quick wit, with a name like that he had to have a good sense of
humor! We will miss seeing him in the audience and around the village. He was
definitely nice to look at!
God Bless you Rhett....Rest in Peace.
Respectfully, Coco

who have been long time fans or own the very first CD or video you already know
who Angie is, for those of you who don't, you're in for a treat. We like to call
her Angie the Psycho, but she'll be joining the group as Cantaloupe. Say it with
a Spanish accent, like you would pronounce Guataloupe....you get the idea.
Anyway, we're excited to have her back so look for her bio to appear soon with
new and interesting information. Oh yeah and she just celebrated her 23rd
Birthday last week. Happy Birthday Angie!

BOCCA NEEDS A NEW SINGER
Posted Monday, September 27, 2004 by
Coco On a sad
note, Kevin has announced that this is his last season with Bocca Musica. He has
been with the group since it started back in the fall of 1996. WOW! Time sure
does fly when you're.......... around Kevin. Anyway, we will truly miss him very
much.
SOOOOOOOOOO.......We are looking for a Kevin replacement.....YIKES!
If you are interested, please email Boccagoddess@aol.com with your
qualifications. If you have a resume, we would love to see it. We will be
scheduling auditions in the near future. Obviously the minimum requirement will
be to sing, act and dance. If you read music, that's a huge bonus....if you have
a knowledge of madrigal music, that's a plus.....if you write lyrics or play an
instrument, also a bonus. If you have any freaky talents that we can add to the
act, we're open to suggestions. Good Luck! Oh yeah, back hair is a plus but not
a requirement!
We hope to hear from you soon. Cheers, Bocca Musica
