Randy the Scot hails from the small Scottish village of Angus. He was raised by his parents along with four sisters and one brother. His family's surname was Horne. Due to economic struggles and an outbreak of the plague, his family was forced to move to France. When they moved, Randy was overheard saying, “Things are hard up in my beloved Angus." Once in France, his family altered their surname to Horne' in order to fit in with the locals. The Horne’ family lived in the bowels of Paris. They moved from one lodging to another trying to stay safe from the dangers of the streets. While looking for work, Randy's father was accidentally killed in a horse riding accident. Randy was later told that his father wasn't riding the horse in the traditional sense of the word! Randy's mother got a job cleaning at the local monastery, which is where Randy learned about music and singing and was taught to be pious and respectful of others. He later joined Le Monastery du Rumps, where he was amongst the highest achieving young men in his studies. People would say "A Horne' man is always welcome in du Rumps". He was very proud of his accomplishments. Randy the Pious, as he was known, was chosen for a special quest given by the head monk. Because of the widespread and prevalent debauchery happening across Europe, Du Rumps started to send young men out to help save people. Randy the Pious was given the task of converting the singing group Bocca Musica from their depraved life styles to God-fearing, respectable people. He was up for the challenge. Randy the Pious traveled to Bohemia where he introduced himself to Bocca. He gained their trust by convincing them he would be good to keep around in case of any sudden deaths or if they needed quick access to wine. Oh yeah, they liked his singing, too! While performing with the group, Randy tried to convert them but their fun loving, free-spirited ways combined with their love of cider was too much for him. He sang them hymns, but they just changed them into drinking songs. He tried to introduce them to nice, wholesome people, but Bocca just got them drunk! Finally Randy decided to be more like them and try to change the group from within. Yea, he was woefully unsuccessful. Bocca's ways took over and Randy eventually gave up his pious training. Randy decided to revert back to his simple Scottish beginnings and is now called Randy the Scot. Due to his time in the monastery, Randy was very repressed. Unknowingly, Bocca helped unleash his inner desires and now he feels he has to make-up for lost time. Just give him a bottle of Johnny Jump Up and he is good to go……. with just about anyone!!!
