Randy is a Detroit native. He attended Eastern Michigan University where he met Coco and began singing and touring both nationally and internationally with the Eastern Michigan University Madrigal Singers. Randy also performed with the Chamber Choir, the opera workshop, and toured internationally with the University Choir. He studied theatre and communications and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education in English and Communications. Randy is currently teaching drama and speech at the secondary level. He has directed many plays and musicals, such as, "Little Shop of Horrors", "Tartuffe", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", “Fame”, and most recently, "Godspell". He is also instrumental in helping with the yearly talent show and is the director of the step team. Randy finished his Master's Degree in Directing at Roosevelt University in Chicago in December 2007. He is currently considering furthering his education with a second Master’s in either counseling or administration or possibly a Ph.D. in theatre. When not at school, Randy volunteers his time with a two man group called The Balladaires, who perform for many local nursing homes and retirement centers in the Metro Detroit area. Randy has also performed with Impromp2, a Gospel Octet and has worked with the ABA Theatre, the St. Clair Shores Players, The Grosse Pointe Community Theatre and many other local theatre troupes as both an actor and director. Randy always looks forward to performing with Bocca but is continually looking for other opportunities to perform outside of the group, as well. Musical theatre is still one of Randy’s loves so you never know when he may grace the stage of a local theatre near you!
