Friar Chuck or Charles Wolfenslaegenstienhosenbergerhofsted was born in a small Bavarian village. It was so small the map was actual size…the barbershop quartet had only two members…the village prostitute was a virgin... I could go on. His father owned a second hand pretzel shop and his mom was the local librarian, however she had been out of work since the book had been checked out… Did I mention how small the village was? Chuck’s family was very poor. So poor, they couldn’t afford to pay attention. When having a conversation they couldn’t put in their own two cents. They had to take the trash IN!
At the age of four, Charles watched as his family got torn apart – by a pack of wild dogs. He moved in with his oppressive Aunt Hildegard who made him live under the stairs as she enjoyed her favorite pastime: Bible Fan Fiction writing. At age ten Chuck ran away hoping to live a more fulfilling life. He decided to join the circus where he cleaned up after the animals. One day, after working in the grueling sun, shoveling dung, he was asked why he endured the back-breaking work. He replied, “What? And give up show business?” That’s when he realized his calling......Unfortunately, the only stage show in town was a production of “The Sound of Mucus”, so Chuck did the next best thing: he joined the Church. At least there he was guaranteed an audience once a week. His first appointment was to a small country parish where attendance was dismal. One week the only thing that came in was a skunk, which sat in its own pew.
Undeterred, Friar Chuck set forth to find his former classmate, Randy Horné, whom he had met at the Monastery Du Rumps many years earlier. He had heard of Randy's fall from grace and his life of drinking and debauchery with the singing group Bocca Musica. Friar Chuck vowed to preach against such behavior and change lives in the process. He tracked the group to the small village of Bitché in France. As his cart came into town he met Coco and Mona walking along the side of the road. He offered them a ride up the cobblestone path through town. Chuck overheard Mona say to Coco, “I’ve never come this way before.”, to which Coco replied, “It’s the cobblestones.” It was then that he realized his task would not be easy.
Seeing an opportunity to spread the word and entertain at the same time, he joined Bocca Musica. While trying to rehabilitate the members of Bocca, you may notice him drink a little too much, sing songs that are a little too racy, and tell a joke that might be considered off-color, but don’t worry he’s just doing research.
